Six intentional ways to build teams of everyday civility (and proactively erode toxic behaviors).

Abstract

The article explores how can physician leaders improve individual, team, organizational performance by squashing toxic behavior. Topics include significantly in healthcare, they can negatively affect patient safety and the entire patient experience; and pediatric nurses surveyed reported a decreased ability to engage in critical thinking as a result of disruptive physicians.
